A school may provide additional privacy notices or policies that apply to information it collects through the Services.
Where a school determines why and how Student Data, employee data, instructor data, or other school-controlled information is processed, the school generally acts as the business, controller, record owner, or other legally responsible party, and NRRINC Media LLC generally processes that information as a service provider or processor on the school's behalf, to the extent those terms apply under applicable law.
For certain information we collect and use for our own legitimate business operations, such as our own account administration, billing, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and service-improvement information, NRRINC Media LLC may act as the business or controller.
Where NRRINC Media LLC processes school-controlled personal information as a service provider, processor, contractor, or similar role, that processing may also be governed by the Data Processing Addendum contained in or incorporated into our Terms of Service, or by another written data processing agreement between NRRINC Media LLC and the applicable school.

How schools use information
Schools use STS and Drive Hub to manage their own operations and relationships with students, parents, instructors, employees, and other users.
A school may use information available through the Services for purposes such as:
- enrollment
- scheduling
- instruction
- student records
- communications

NRRINC Media LLC does not control every decision a school makes about information it collects through the Services.
Questions about a school's independent use of your information should generally be directed to that school.
Artificial intelligence and automation
STS and Drive Hub may include automated or artificial-intelligence-assisted functionality.
Our AI functionality may be self-hosted or supported by approved service providers or Subprocessors. We do not use identifiable Client Data or identifiable Student Data to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
AI training and generalized model evaluation performed by NRRINC Media LLC using information derived from the Services uses aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise non-identifying information designed not to identify a school, student, prospective student, parent, guardian, employee, instructor, contractor, or other specific individual.
We may use such non-identifying information for:
- internal AI training
- model evaluation and testing
- product and feature improvement
- reliability and quality testing
- security
- fraud and abuse prevention
- performance analysis
- feature development
Identifiable information may be processed by an AI-assisted feature when reasonably necessary to provide a feature requested or enabled by the applicable school or user, such as summarization, transcription, classification, support, authentication, or workflow automation. That feature-specific processing does not authorize the use of identifiable Client Data or Student Data for generalized model training.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to prevent direct identifiers from being included in generalized AI training datasets. Authorized personnel may review AI-assisted inputs or outputs when reasonably necessary to provide, support, secure, troubleshoot, evaluate, or validate a feature.
We do not sell identifiable Client Data or Student Data for AI training.
How we disclose personal information
We do not sell Client Data or Student Data.
We do not share Client Data or Student Data for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.
With the school using the Services
Information associated with a school account may be available to authorized school personnel according to roles, permissions, school configuration, and feature functionality.
This can include administrators, instructors, employees, support personnel, or other users authorized by the school.
With parents or guardians
Where a school enables parent or guardian access, limited student information may be made available to an authorized linked parent or guardian.
The school is responsible for determining appropriate access.
With participating schools
Where an authorized student transfer occurs, relevant information may be disclosed to another participating school as necessary to facilitate the transfer.
With service providers
We may use third-party providers to help us operate the Services.
Depending on the Services used, these providers may support:
- cloud infrastructure
- security and threat prevention
- communications
- telecommunications
- SMS
- calling
- voicemail
- transcription
- email delivery
- payment processing
- shipping or fulfillment
- software infrastructure
- other operational functions
Some service providers that process personal information on our behalf may act as subprocessors. We may add, replace, or remove subprocessors as our Services, infrastructure, and technology providers change.
We provide service providers and subprocessors only the information reasonably necessary for their function and require contractual confidentiality, security, and data-protection protections appropriate to the nature of the processing where applicable.
Subprocessors may include providers supporting cloud infrastructure, security, communications, telecommunications, email delivery, payment technology, shipping or fulfillment, artificial intelligence, authentication, identity verification, analytics, support, and other operational functions.
Some infrastructure and security providers may process network, technical, or security information without being given access to substantive Client Data or Student Data.
We may maintain or make available information about material subprocessors or provide such information upon reasonable request.
With payment processors
Payment processors may receive payment information directly in order to process transactions.
NRRINC Media LLC generally retains limited payment-related information such as tokens, transaction metadata, the last four digits of a card, card brand, and card expiration information.

We may preserve, access, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with law
- respond to lawful legal process

- protect the security or integrity of the Services
- investigate fraud or abuse

- protect the rights, property, or safety of NRRINC Media LLC
- protect schools, users, or third parties

Business transfers
If NRRINC Media LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Any successor or recipient will be subject to applicable privacy obligations relating to the transferred information.
We do not sell personal information
NRRINC Media LLC does not sell Client Data or Student Data.
NRRINC Media LLC does not share Client Data or Student Data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
NRRINC Media LLC does not use Client Data or Student Data for retargeting advertising.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for these purposes, we do not require users to opt out of a practice that we do not perform.
If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.
Children and minors
The Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age.
Users under 13 may not create or use a student account through the Services.
Students who are 13 or older may use the Services where permitted by the applicable school and where any required parent or guardian authorization has been provided.
NRRINC Media LLC does not independently collect or verify parental consent as a standard part of the Services.
Parents or guardians are responsible for providing any consent legally required from them, and schools are responsible for determining whether they have the authorization required to enroll or provide Services to a minor.
If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been submitted to the Services contrary to this policy, we may delete, restrict, or otherwise remediate that information.
To report information relating to a child under 13, contact Legal@nrrinc.net.
Biometric information and authentication
The Services do not collect or use biometric identifiers or biometric information as a standard feature. However, NRRINC Media LLC may offer optional biometric or similar identity-verification features for authentication, account security, fraud prevention, identity verification, access control, or other security-related purposes.
Depending on the feature and technology used, biometric information may include fingerprints, face geometry or facial-recognition templates, retina or iris information, voiceprints used for identity recognition, or similar identifiers derived from biological characteristics.
Biometric information will be collected or used only when an applicable feature is expressly enabled or made available for that purpose. Where required by law, appropriate notice, disclosure, permission, or consent will be provided or obtained before biometric information is collected or used.
When a school chooses to enable a biometric feature for its students, parents, guardians, employees, instructors, contractors, or other users, the school is responsible for determining whether it may lawfully enable that feature and for satisfying school-specific notice, consent, employment, education, retention, and other legal requirements that apply to its use.
When NRRINC Media LLC controls the biometric authentication or identity-verification functionality, we use biometric information only for the disclosed authentication, identity-verification, security, fraud-prevention, or access-control purpose, or as otherwise permitted by law. We do not sell biometric identifiers or biometric information, use them for targeted advertising, or use them to infer characteristics for advertising.
We may use service providers or subprocessors to perform biometric authentication, matching, liveness detection, identity verification, secure storage, or related technical functions. Where applicable, those providers are required to maintain appropriate contractual, confidentiality, security, and data-protection safeguards.
We retain biometric information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the supported purpose and as permitted or required by applicable law. When retention is no longer reasonably necessary or legally required, the information will be deleted or rendered unusable in accordance with applicable retention requirements and our ordinary deletion processes.
Ordinary photographs, videos, audio, call recordings, or voice communications are not treated as biometric information under this Privacy Policy solely because they contain a person's image or voice. They may become biometric information if they are processed to create or use a biometric identifier or biometric template for identification.
Sensitive personal information
Depending on the Services used, we may process information that may be considered sensitive personal information under applicable law, such as:
- account credentials
- precise location information relating to instructors or administrators
- driver's permit information
- certain government-issued identifiers where provided
- payment-related information
- information relating to accessibility or accommodations
- employee or compensation-related records
- contents of certain communications
- call recordings or transcriptions where enabled
- biometric identifiers or biometric information where an expressly supported authentication or identity-verification feature is enabled
We use sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, maintain, or comply with legal obligations relating to the Services, or as otherwise permitted by law.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals for advertising purposes.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, protect the Services, satisfy contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements.
Following termination, cancellation, expiration, account closure, or deletion, we may retain Client Data, Student Data, database records, and backup copies for up to three (3) years, or longer where reasonably necessary to satisfy an applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, audit, dispute, security, or recordkeeping obligation.
This retention period is intended in part to help preserve records that a driving school may be required to maintain or produce. Certain driving-school and student records may be subject to multi-year recordkeeping requirements. NRRINC Media LLC may retain records as a safeguard to support a school's recordkeeping needs even though NRRINC Media LLC is not the DMV, does not act on behalf of the DMV, and does not assume the school's regulatory or legal recordkeeping responsibilities.
Schools remain responsible for determining which records they are legally required to retain and for maintaining their own required copies. NRRINC Media LLC's retention of information does not guarantee that a retained record satisfies a school's legal, licensing, evidentiary, or regulatory obligations.
Deleted information may remain in archival, backup, replicated, or disaster-recovery systems during the applicable retention period until it is deleted or overwritten through ordinary retention and backup processes.
We may retain limited information beyond the ordinary retention period where reasonably necessary to comply with:
- applicable law or regulation
- a court order or lawful legal process
- a legal hold
- tax, accounting, or financial-record requirements
- security or fraud-prevention needs
- dispute resolution or enforcement
- another legally binding obligation
Operational records that do not contain substantive Student Data, such as certain security, fraud-prevention, billing, audit, or compliance records, may be retained as reasonably necessary for those purposes and as permitted by law.
Where biometric information is processed through an expressly supported authentication or identity-verification feature, biometric information is subject to the more specific retention principles described in the Biometric Information and Authentication section.

- common application-layer threats
We may use specialized third-party security providers to help with infrastructure protection, threat detection, traffic filtering, monitoring, vulnerability management, security analysis, and incident response.
